I wonder why nobody has thought of this; make a law that "Federal Budget" can not have ANYTHING to do with anything outside of USA Budget Moneys-for USA "WE THE PEOPLE". If any party wants money sent to other countries for any kind of support, they have to submit request from other means. But Federal Budget can only have money to support USA Legal Citizens....PERIOD.
How did democrats cave? They got SNAP funded for illegals for another full year, while the regular CR runs out in just over a month. Conservatives got hosed again.
Finally, some of them came to their senses to stop harming hard working Americans as negotiation tools. Who in their right mind would want to continue to harm their own constituents? Chuck Schumer and Hakeem, that's who. They still received their paycheck. Good for me but not for thee. They will never change. Legislation has to be put in place ASAP that if the senate or the house creates a shutdown event in the future, they lose their pay so the TSA, Air Traffic Controllers and Federal workers will get paid until they do their job and get things resolved. The filibuster is too easy these days. Years ago, you had to get on the floor and speak for hours upon hpurs to keep a filibuster going, that needs to be reinstated.
