4 killed, 3 injured in mass shooting at birthday pool party in Florence, Kentucky
SUMMARY
A mass shooting at a birthday pool party in Florence, Kentucky, early Saturday left four dead and three injured, according to the Florence Police Department. Officers responded to a private residence at 2:51 a.m. and discovered victims both outside and inside the home. The suspect, Chase Garvey, 21, fled the scene, but police caught up with him after a car chase that ended in a crash. Garvey died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victims were identified as Shane Miller, 20, Hayden Rybicki, 20, Delaney Eary, 19, and Melissa Parrett, 44. Three injured survivors are in critical but stable condition.
