Georgia court of appeals to review Trump's bid to disqualify DA Fani Willis

The Georgia Court of Appeals has agreed to review former President Donald Trump's appeal of Judge Scott McAfee's ruling that allowed embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to remain on the Trump election interference case in Georgia. Judge McAfee's March ruling removed special prosecutor Nathan Wade to avoid disqualification of Willis, as allegations suggested Willis and Wade had an "improper" romantic relationship, which both denied. Trump and co-defendants claimed Willis and Wade's relationship involved financial gain for her. While Judge McAfee permitted the defense to appeal his ruling, the appeals court announced it will hear the defense's case regarding Willis's potential disqualification. A court date for the appeal has not yet been scheduled.
