Johnson on Brink of Permanent Power Sharing Agreement with Democrats

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is facing challenges from within his own party as Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) continue pressing for him to resign. The duo's two-hour meeting with Johnson on Monday highlighted growing tensions over his alleged concessions to Democrats, which they argue compromise his position as Speaker. Greene and Massie insist that Johnson's unofficial lame-duck status will hinder Republican efforts in the upcoming November elections.
