UK Ministry of Defence ‘hacked by China’ as cyberattack causes ‘massive data breach’ including names and bank details

Reports indicate that the Ministry of Defence has experienced a major data breach due to a cyberattack attributed to China. The attack targeted service personnel, and MPs are expected to be briefed on Tuesday. Although the Government has not publicly named the country responsible, Sky News reports that China is believed to be behind the attack. Allegedly, Beijing may have made two or three attempts to hack MoD employees.
