I am saddened by the fight between Musk and Trump. Words have been spoken in public, whether true or not, that cannot be retracted. This ridiculous fight is the result of two egos - both men being titans in the business world (with one being a president with added power). There are some conversations that should initially, at least, be private and therefore a bit more dignified for the public.
While the bill looks to be more good than bad, it’s exceeding last year’s budget is not in line with what Americans expectations of Republicans. The AI national surveillance is EXTREMELY problematic in my (albeit humble) view. That pernicious section needs to be excised immediately. What did we fight the Democrats these past four years for if the Republicans cannot for once work for us and our benefit? We wanted an end to censorship, government intrusion, government excesses, and for once have an honest, transparent, frugal government. Step it up boys and girls and fix that bill. Oh man. I don't know what it all means. I was not expecting a fiery Oval Office presser to be between those two, however.
The way Trump operates he wants us looking at something. And then, boom! Now that he has our attention, it could be something else.
