Biden’s ICE Sued for Withholding Information on Hiding Identities of Criminal Illegal Aliens

The Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) is suing President Joe Biden's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for failing to release internal agency information regarding its policy to withhold the identities of criminal illegal aliens arrested by agents. IRLI requested information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) on how ICE decides whether to reveal the identities of these individuals in press releases, but the agency has not responded. IRLI’s investigation found that while 97% of criminal illegal aliens were named in ICE press releases under the Trump administration, only 67% are named under Biden. IRLI's Director of Investigations, Matt O’Brien, criticized ICE's policy as a deliberate attempt to hide the public's awareness of the removal of dangerous foreign criminals from the U.S. The lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, seeks to hold the administration accountable and promote transparency.
