Weinstein's legal situation is complicated by a recent ruling from the New York Court of Appeals that vacated his 23-year prison sentence and ordered a retrial, although he remains in custody due to a 16-year sentence from a 2022 conviction in Los Angeles. Aidala plans to discuss scheduling the retrial, aiming for after Labor Day.
